On 30 November – 2 December 2021 Open Cascade as part of Capgemini attended World Nuclear Exhibition (WNE) 2021 in Paris, the world’s largest exhibition dedicated to the civil nuclear sector. The company’s representatives showcased Open Cascade solutions for the nuclear industry.
This exhibition brought together the world’s civil nuclear players, as well as companies creating solutions for the civil nuclear power industry. The idea of the event is to build the nuclear industry of tomorrow by developing international relations between business actors in this area.
WNE was organized for the 4th time by GIFEN, the French Nuclear Industry Association. Capgemini, with its deep industry expertise, contributed to WNE 2021 as a Silver sponsor together with other market leaders. The event united 612 exhibitors from 83 represented countries. Multiple workshops, business meetings, thematic round tables centered around the topic “The nuclear industry, a key partner for a low carbon society in a responsible future”.
At this global event Open Cascade presented two major offers. Revealing the topic of digital rejuvenation of legacy engineering, Open Cascade team spoke on the possibility to build up-to-date Digital Twin based on legacy documentation, technical databases, 3D models and laser scans thanks to Open Cascade platform. Besides, they covered the topic of digital review in 3D using Open Cascade platform. It provides a real interactive and easy-to-use 3D hybrid digital mock-up in MS Teams or a web browser available from any device. The audience expressed interest in this convenient way to work collaboratively with their hybridized data composed of laser scans, 360 images and 3D models.
