When is OpenCascade 5.2 planned to be available?

I saw in another post that OCC 5.2 is supposed to have .NET support. When is it coming out?

Hi !

I guess it depends, the paying customers get it first, which is understandable I guess, but they even give bug fixes to paying customers first, the \"free\" version is updated much later.

Dear colleagues,

As we already communicated on this forum, the 5.2 release is planned for this month. We are finalizing its packaging now and it should be available in about two weeks.

Certainly, our customers have already received many of its corrections and improvements but there will be still a lot comparing with the latest 5.1.3 customer release (XML persistence, mesh visualization service ...).

Stay tuned !

Best regards,

Does this mean that it will be released this month only to customers who are paying for support, or is the free version to be available this month as well?

Dear Ben,

Major releases (versions X.0) and minor releases (x.y) are currently delivered simultaneously both to the customers and free users. Customers also have a privilege for maintenance (version x.y.z) releases which are not delivered publicly.

The version 5.2 being a minor release will be made available to everyone this month.

Good point but it there going to be a Mac OS X version or will it be at least more portable to OS X with native aqua interface etc.?

I am working on porting it on OS X but so far no reply on the instructions that I gave to get it running on OS X... Still have some bugs to fix but we need support on that to if you want it to be complete...

Let me know

Dear Jules,

As already underlined on the forum, supported configurations are mainly driven by our customer demands and so far there is no demand for Mac OS X. Therefore its support is not yet in our plans so far.
