I have a somewhat dated question: What happened to the Voxelization feature in OpenCascade. If it is removed in the new releases, is it possible to perform voxelization from a objects CAD file, e.g. STEP file.

I guess by 'new releases' you mean OCCT 7.0.0 released in 2016? The following topic might be useful to you.
Voxelization tools could be found in VTK library. Analysis Situs also mentions voxelization in description, but I never used this functionality myself. Some commercial libraries might provide such functionality as well.
