Static Linking - Windows

Has anybody had luck in compiling OCC 6.6.0 into a set of static .lib's and then linking into their own application? I have tried compiling into a static library for each project with a result of thousands of not exported warnings and then linking fails.

VC++ 2010. X86 and X64. Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you for the link, the instructions seem to work for Debug but there are many warnings generated in Release. When I try to consume the .libs I get hundreds of warnings (LNK4049). I am using the latest official release as published on the site.
