Forums:
I have seen a banner on the Open Cas.CADe site advertising for C4W www.c4w.com a very impressive suite of tools with data-exchange named 3D-Shop, viewer, surfacing capabilities, COM components, a development environment to deliver plug-ins. It is not open source (it is Windows only) but not very expensive. How do you compete or complete with them ?

You say C4W doesn't cost much, but to me it seemed very expensive. I also think you will also miss the advantages of an opensource solution. I've used CASCADE in the past on UNIX and I think it is an excellent product. Making it open source should give it a great future.
