In addition to the Linux platform, Open CASCADE is now available on :

Sun Solaris

Binaries are provided for these two platforms but the source code is the same.

Coming with the source code, direct reconstruction procedures for Linux, Windows NT and Sun. Makefiles have to be derived from these procedures.

Open CASCADE features a new module : the Open CASCADE Application Framework.

Open CASCADE has been extended by the Application Framework (OCAF) module. This module makes Open CASCADE a genuine Rapid Application Development (RAD) platform for modeling applications, thanks to capabilities such as:

A ready to use Application/Document architecture. The possibility to associate attributes to geometry Parameterization of geometric models Ready-to-use saving of application data Ready-to-use undo-redo functions.
