How to understand <Shape Flag Word>?

Dragon He's picture

Hi, When I read the article "Face data" in the chapter of Brep Format / Shapes. I Find these flags are hard to understand.

There is only a "The flags are used in a special way [1].". I didn't find a place to illustrate these flags. Can someone help me with that. Thanks very much.

<shape flag word> are interpreted as shape flags in the following way:

  • f1 – free;
  • f2 – modified;
  • f3 – IGNORED(version 1) \ checked (version 2);
  • f4 – orientable;
  • f5 – closed;
  • f6 – infinite;
  • f7 – convex.
