error triangulation? - Forum Open Cascade Technology

Hi all,

I'm having some problems loading a model taken from grabcad. It is a spring [1] and if I try to load it with OpenCascade Import/Export example (version 6.5.2) it seems to have some problems.

Among attachments the results with Import/Export that lack something. If I load it with an app written by me using OpenCascade I have the same problem and 4 faces give me null triangulation. I have the same problem with other models, too. The model Springs.igs is the smallest that give me this problem.

What could be the problem? Any suggestions? Is there any parameter that i can set in the igs reader to resolve?

There is no possibility to check the posted problem using the picture.
Attach, please a corresponding .igs file.

The corresponding issue with ID = 22869 has been registered.
Later you may check if the issue is resolved by checking references to the specified ID in OCCT Release Notes. The analysis of the issue will take some time depending on our technical capability and availability of resources.

I have noted that it could be a problem with non-strictly IGES standard file. I have loaded it on another cad, saved it in .igs format using the exporter of the other cad and now I am able to load it correctly.

I have found these two links ([1], [2]) and probably this is the same problem that can be resolved using Advanced Data Exchange.

Am i wrong?
