Collision of shapes from wrl files

I am loading shapes from some wrl files and I have to check if these objects have overlapped faces.

I have tried to use BRepExtrema_ShapeProximity class, but I get an error due to the lack of U and V information.

I think because the shape loaded from wrl are composed only of triangles and there is no UV coordinates. 

How can I check for overlapped faces with this type of shapes (I think meshed shapes) ?
