C++ compiler

Anonymous's picture

Hello everybody!

I am a new Linux user. Actually, i've just finished my Red Hat 9.0
installation and i am impatient to run my c++ files under this shell!

I face some problems when i try to compile my c++ files, even the simplest:

void main(void)
{ printf("Hello World"); }

After the command: gcc hello.c -o hello
returns : bash: gcc: command not found

Is the gcc compiler included in Red Hat 9.0 OS ?
Should i try another compiler or a special synthax is required?
