Open CASCADE Technology
A set of C++ software components for 3D modeling, visualization, data exchange. It accumulates several hundred man-years of development and has been successfully used for more than 10 years by a lot of companies.

Salomé
A simulation integration platform based on Open CASCADE, VTK, Qt and many other open source software. Its initial development results from a partnership of nine software, industrial, and research companies:

A new consortium, now engaging more than 20 partners is organized to make the R&D effort fot next versions of Salomé middleware.

Both platforms are available under Open Source Public licenses and can be freely used within commercial environments. The number of downloads moves towards 50,000 and monthly amount remains high for more than 4 years after initial publication.
The Open CASCADE Technology platform even gave a name to the company that now proudly maintains and evolves it. |
